KPFK-LSB Outreach Committee
The KPFK-LSB Outreach Committee is inviting you the monthly meeting the last Sunday of the month, July 30, 2023, 11:30 AM (PDT), via Zoom (info below).
Per Pacifica Foundation Bylaws, the LSB Outreach Committee is not constrained by Roberts Rules, rather is an open membership body, where all are welcome to participate, heard and vote.
Background: There is still an ongoing PNB-Pacifica National Board interference with our local KPFK 90.7 LSB-Local Station Board governance. On March 26, our LSB had to hold an additional continuation meeting, which is the last Sunday of the month. meeting. And by April, a pending Court ruling to intervene, only ordered LSB Elections, and is still ongoing… For more info, visit www.kpfknot4sale.org
Due to this Court Order, the PNB started the process for the Pacifica Foundation LSB Elections this year 2023, to make up for its cancellation in 2022. Now more than ever, your annual $25.00 membership is critical @ www.kpfk.org
If you did not update your membership by June 30th, , it was the deadline for membership to qualify to vote for the current LSB Candidates. Just the same, please renew your membership if lapsed as soon as possible. We must increase our local KPFK 90.7 FM membership to the 2008 levels … An interim list of national LSB Candidates are posted at: www.elections.pacifica.org
*However, KPFT 90.1 FM Houston, TX Grassroots Candidates were all rejected without cause.
Needless to say, this election cycle has experienced a number of irregularities …

We need to coordinate virtual/electronic ideas to spread KPFK’s presence throughout the Station signal area moving forward. Volunteers are in demand to help spread the word about KPFK 90.7 FM Non-Commercial listener supported radio station since 1959. KPFK celebrates 64 years in July. This Committee will start planning KPFK-LSB Town Hall event for 2024 after the current elections conclude. We have not yet been able to coordinate any T.H. this year, two are required annually per Foundation Bylaws.

- Update on Station matters …
- As usual, we will review recent outreach efforts and plan new activities.
- Go over comments/suggestions from Listeners/Members, itemize issues if need be, to share with the KPFK IGM Michel Novick and LSB.
- Our current financial condition requires immediate strategies to help KPFK get over this current funk.
- Please bring your brainstorming ideas/suggestions, to collaborate.
